Rank processes by business effect
List repeated, high-volume, knowledge-based work with meaningful error cost. Observe time spent, waiting points and quality problems. The first candidate should be measurable and testable at small scope.
Define data and decision boundaries
Decide which sources the system may read, which actions remain recommendations and which decisions require human approval. Address personal data, commercial secrets and permissions during prototyping.
Build one working flow
- Start with one user group
- Create an evaluation set from real examples
- Record wrong answers and failure cases
- Measure time saved together with usage cost
- Do not expand before results are validated
Move into production
A successful prototype is not a production system without monitoring, logging, authorization, failure handling and human feedback. Build a provider-independent integration layer and assign an operational owner.
